Prof Crosbie is an NIHR Advanced Fellow, Professor and Honorary Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at the University of Manchester. Her research focuses on screening, prevention and early diagnosis of gynaecological cancers. Her research showed which patients with endometrial cancer should be tested for Lynch syndrome, how they should be tested, that women want to be tested to protect their family members and that testing everyone is cost-effective for the NHS. This led directly to a change in NICE guidance that all women with endometrial cancer be offered testing for Lynch syndrome. Her team won AACR Team Science Award 2024 for this work. Her leadership roles include Deputy Editor-in-Chief for BJOG, Chair of the Research Advisory Committee for The Eve Appeal and she is President of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust, the only UK charity that focuses exclusively on improving the lives of those affected by endometrial cancer.
